Walking between the high walls of this marvellous canyon and swimming in its crystal-clear waters, we will be able to admire its thousand-year-old rocks of countless colours, but also flora and fauna of the area, at close quarters with Sigeric’s Environmental Hiking Guides.<\/p>\n Join us for a river trek in the Stretti di Giaredo, a canyon in Lunigiana – Tuscany<\/p>\n<\/div> The\u00a0Stretti di Giaredo <\/strong> is a beautiful canyon crossed by the Gordana stream located in Lunigiana, between the territories of Pontremoli and Zeri, in northern Tuscany. This spectacular place is part of a SCI (Site of Community Importance for its geological and naturalistic value) that covers 250 hectares in the Gordana Valley. This amazing canyon in unique: it’s colorful rocks range from red to green, from gray to blue.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div> Join us for a river trek in the Stretti di Giaredo, a canyon in Lunigiana – Tuscany.<\/em><\/p>\n Stretti di Giaredo Adventure is not a canyoning or canyoning activity, but a river trek, an exploration on foot of the Gordana Torrent, in the company of Sigeric’s Environmental Hiking Guides – experts in Tourism in Lunigiana. The excursion is also suitable for those with no river experience and for children from 6 years of age.<\/p>\n The only requirement is to be able to swim! In fact, the canyon is crossed by a stream with some deep pools.<\/p>\n It is also essential to wear the appropriate footwear. Hiking shoes or trainers with grip soles are indispensable for tackling a trekking route. Participants wearing rock shoes, smooth-soled shoes or sandals are not permitted.<\/p>\n<\/div> At 9 am we will meet at our guide office – Centro Didattico Sorano, Filattiera, then we will move to the starting point of the activity. The hike starts from the small village of Cavezzana Gordana. Here we will walk along a path and part of the stream bed for about 20 minutes to reach the entrance to the canyon. During the activity, we will explore the Stretti di Giaredo by walking in and out of the water and swimming through some crystal-clear pools, immersed in nature and among impressive canyons and multi-coloured walls over 20 metres high.
