A step back in time in the residence of the Malaspina family

A special guided tour to discover the historical and architectural beauty of this small Village in Lunigiana.

The castle and the village of Pallerone

The guided tour will lead you to discover the small village of Pallerone, an important Malaspina settlement a few steps from the Aulella stream. In the hamlet the Malaspina family had erected a castle, which, thanks to the decisive contribution of Alderano and Spinetta Malaspina, was transformed into a sumptuous elegant residence that became a marquis’s home in the seventeenth century.

The residence, currently owned by the Malatesta family, features a 17th-century series of frescoes with a mythological theme and a beautiful  garden that have been recently restored.

In 2023 it will be possible to visit the castle with guided tours on the following dates and times:

Saturday, April 29 – 3 pm;

Saturday, October 21 – 3 pm;

Sunday, December 17 – 2:30 p.m. *Special Mechanical Nativity.
