An exciting trek in the Stretti di Giaredo Protected Natural Area
The Secrets of the Gordana Valley is an adventure through the tunnels carved into the rocks of the Stretti di Giaredo in Lunigiana, northern Tuscany.
A trek between rock and river that will allow you to discover the Stretti di Giaredo without completely immersing yourself in the clear (and cool!) waters of the Gordana Torrent.

Discover with us the secrets of the Gordana Valley at the Stretti di Giaredo
The itinerary develops in the green valleys of the Gordana torrent, which runs through the spectacular Stretti di Giaredo.
A new route among the ancient tunnels and millenary rocks of the protected area of the Stretti di Giaredo, to learn more about the history and environmental characteristics of this beautiful natural site.
During the trek we will discover the Gordana Valley Community, walk along the Iron Bridge, and admire the high, colourful walls of the rocky gorges all year round.
After meeting at our office – Centro Didattico Sorano in Filattiera, we will move on to the Gordana Valley with Sigeric’s Environmental Hiking Guides, experts in tourism in Lunigiana and upper Tuscany. Equipped with helmets provided by the organisation, we will undertake a route that will be almost entirely on footpaths.
For a stretch of about 200 metres we will walk in the torrent, YES WE WILL WET OUR SHOES.
EVENTUAL SWIMMING/DIVING CAN BE DONE IN AUTONOMY.
