Treasure hunt in the nature: an enjoyable family activity, which takes place in Apella village and in the Biopark White Spruce to look for shapes, sounds and colours of nature thanks to ancient legends and popular traditions. Exploring the environment, we will observe, learn and understand the richness and the biodiversity of our land and we will rediscover the importance to be close to nature. SCHOOL TRIPS IN LUNIGIANA: PILGRIMS ALONG VIA FRANCIGENA From Berceto, in the Apennine mountains, to Sarzana, small ligurian village: a journey in a millennial history. The itinerary along the places written by Sigeric during 10th century, tells the history of this land through guided tours, meeting with little associations of the territory in order to get in touch the young people with this little corner of Italy. Lunigiana, land of Dante and Michelangelo – School Trip Lunigiana was home, for a short time, of the greatest Italian artists: Dante Alighieri and Michelangelo Buonarroti. The itinerary follows the places of their stay in Lunigiana and tells the history of this territory through guided tours in order to know this little corner of Italy. Day 1 – Mulazzo and Pontremoli: Dante and Malaspina family in Lunigiana Meeting with the guide in Mulazzo. The itinerary starts from the ancient capital of Lunigiana: the medieval village of Mulazzo, where the poet Dante Alighieri lived during the first months after his exile.
SCHOOL TRIPS IN LUNIGIANA and APENNINE NATIONAL PARK A journey in Lunigiana, Tuscany: a border rural and undiscovered land, but a crossroad between the north and the centre of Italy, in the valley of Apennine National Park, a UNESCO MAB Reserve. Day 1 – Pontremoli: Tuscany door. Meeting with the guide in Pontremoli. During the morning, guided tour of Villa Dosi Delfini, a Baroque masterpiece in Pontremoli, built during 18th century by Dosi Delfini family. The Malaspina Castle in Monti, Licciana Nardi, is one of the most charming castles in Lunigiana, which still belongs to the ancient owners: the Malaspina family, a noble ancestry. It was a medieval castle, which controlled the valleys of the rivers Magra and Taverone. During 16th century it was transformed in a noble palace. After the violent earthquake in 1920, the Castle was restaured and it returned to its former glory thanks to Malaspina family. The guided tour, which lasts about 1 hour, will allow to visit the castle rooms and admire a marvellous view over Lunigiana from the wonderful
